Events

Our volunteer program is off to a great start! We have had volunteers come out on the weekday afternoons to groom horses, help turn them out, and get numerous chores done. I can tell you that the extra hands really make a difference to the amount of attention the rescue horses get.

We plan to schedule monthly work days on weekends. I'll let you know the dates as soon as we set them. Thank you, volunteers!!!

During the spring and summer of 2008, Sunrise Horse Rescue will conduct periodic volunteer trainings. Volunteers help with many aspects of the rescue operation, from direct horse care and farm chores to helping host special events. New Rescue Horse!
Come on out and meet, “Mo”! He comes to us from an auction. Mo is a well trained gentleman who was slated for the slaughterhouse. We’re pretty sure he’ll like it much better at Sunrise Horse Rescue!
