Echo Raine
Echo Raine was an Arabian who was imported from Canada, together with another Arabian, to be endurance horses (long-distance riding). They were abandoned at a stable in Dixon for five years. The stable owners took care of them but they were in a small space and needed new homes that could provide more room and attention. Her buddy, Apache, was adopted by a family, but Echo was no longer rideable because of a condition that caused her connective tissue to weaken (DSLD). Sunrise was able to provide her a home and medication and she lived in a small herd environment where she thrived. She was adopted by one of our supporters & we loved caring for her here at Sunrise. She will be sorely missed.
